Middle of November, with an acceleration after Thanksgiving.

If "focusing on Christmas" = decorating, buying presents, etc then a couple of days after Thanksgiving.

Aren't you Hindu?  I would be concerned if you focused on Christmas way ahead of time.

December, of course, but it sure doesn't feel like Christmas here.  We've had hardly any snow, and there's not a snowflake in the forecast for the next 10 days.  Looks like a green Christmas this year. Sad

I've never had a white Christmas in my life, and I'm completely fine with that.

One of the radio stations around here started playing Christmas music in the first week or so of thanksgiving, so about then.

I've never been less focused on Christmas than this year. I used to absolutely love and adore this time of year, but that feeling is completely absent this year (even more than the terrible year that was 2013).

The only thing I'll be focused on is the holiday pay I'll get from working a 12 hour shift on Christmas day.

GO LIFT A WEIGHT, YOU SKINNY BITCH.

Just kidding.  My son had his recital last week.  Played Greensleeves.  Good times.  He knows about six christmas songs now.  We actually put up a chirstmas tree today.  I'd say that I really started focusing on Christmas today.  I'll start getting into the commercialism this week probably.  Got my eye on the rockets.  Remember those?  I started getting into those when I was about ten, and he'll be ten in a couple of weeks, so it's just about time.  Also, there are lots of cool remote-control toys now.  The nice thing about having a boy is that it gives you an excuse to buy stuff that you really ought to have outgrown by the time you are 47, but for whatever reason you haven't.

The old lady has expressed some serious concern about the longboard, and I've decided not to pick that battle just yet, so that'll have to wait.  I'll probably sneak it in next year like I did with the in-line skates last year.  Choose your battles wisely, boys.

10 years old?  Shouldn't he have moved past toys and on to the demigod of fitness workout machines?

It's on my radar almost immediately after Halloween. I got my tree on November 28th though, so I'll say it was then. I didn't really "feel" in the spirit until this past Saturday.

Just got the tree out of the box last night.

Book for scale.  Yeah, the rug's ugly, I know.

Why do you have a fake tree?

Anyway, about a couple of days or so ago. Christmas always is a little anticlimactic if you anticipate it in advance.

Still have some gift buying to do - like a lot. So in that sense, not yet. But I voted November. It crept into my mind when the Christmas music started on the radio around mid Nov.

Generally, though, I focus on Christmas later and later every year. There's just so much to do, and of course it isn't like it is when you're a kid. You're just appreciative for some downtime, the phone not ringing, nothing going on, etc.
