Alternative Balanced Budget Amendment

With all the talk from the Far Right about how we need a Balanced Budget Amendment or else, are there any proposals for an alternative amendment to try to balance the budget? My amendment would go something like this: It would prohibit war spending that would leave the budget unbalanced, and if the budget couldn't be balanced, a higher corporate tax would automatically kick in.

This People's Balanced Budget Amendment would be much better than the garbage the Tea Party is serving up.
