an individualist, masculinist, reactionary secular cult.  worthy of study if you're interested in the anomie of the young adult male.. the cool thing to do seems to be to sneer at them as "misogynistic creeps" in all of your moralistic rage.  that is ill-placed and a waste of time.

The IRC discussion was over this exact opinion poll being made.

ISIS are also "worthy of study", doesn't mean they shouldn't be condemned.

Yeah, as a young adult female I'm pretty bored with the anomie of the young adult male. I get enough of it through literature, film, music, all sorts of cultural products. I sort of am interested in these sorts of internet cults in the (very amateur) armchair sociologist way that I am in all sorts of bizarre behaviour - but I don't see why I shouldn't condemn something that hates me.

Very interesting, but overall pretty terrible. And I'm no fan of modern day feminism.

condemnations are a part of life.  what bugs me is when people fall all over themselves to say how horrible x people are.  as in calling ISIS "terrorist pigs" or some such.  why bother, just to fit in?

I wonder what they're like in real life.

You will have a hard time finding them, considering they haven't left their parents basements in years.

I would almost pity some of them, if not for the way that they prey on insecure girls. The entire "movement" (I shudder to call it that) seems to be entirely focused on:

1. Making women into male society's throwaway sex toy.
2. Having some magiclike "power" over women.

Both are very telling, as any man, who is secure about who he is, and feels good about himself, is not worried about "WHO HAS THE POWER IN THIS RELATIONSHIP," nor is he going to view a woman as some type of object subject to his control in the first place. What makes these charlatans particularly disgusting, is not even the fact that their objective is to make women some type of mind slaves to them, but the fact that the type of girl they target, are the ones who are highly insecure about themselves.  The type of long lasting damage done if they are successful in their main objective, could be disastrous for whatever poor girl it was that some neckbearded prick succeeded with.

Disgusting, insecure, losers who are in all honesty dangerous to society.

minus the "young adult female" part, of course. As a young male, I'm intimately familiar with the "red pill" attitude, which extends well beyond the Red Pill/"PUA"base. I have no interest in engaging in dialogue with these cretins: their behavior is dangerous and harmful to women.

Yeah this. I don't get all the "Wow I imagine what they're like in real life comments!". While few people might be active members of the Red Pill, they reflect (and influence) attitudes that extend well beyond reddit and well into real life.
