I don't really care for any of them, to be honest.

On an interesting note, in American Samoa there was a Republican who defeated a Democratic Incumbent by 11 points! (of course only for a delegate, but nonetheless)

And oddly enough, this is the same Democrat who gained national recognition for defending his home territory of American Samoa after Speaker Pro Tempore Kerry Bentivolio completely botched it on the House floor. Odd that he would be unseated this year after that, after having represented them for years upon years.

Southerland. Terry reeks of the whole "me me me" attitude (promising to serve a maximum of three terms, then serving for eight, anyone?)

Terry and Southerland are both terrible, so I guess I gotta go with John Barrow. There are a lot of reasons not to like Barrow, but compared to this batch, he's solid.

Terry.  He would've won if it weren't for the Tea Partier who ran as an independent.  Looks like they threw away another important race. Sad

Because he was just that bad. When you only beat a random guy by 6 points in a primary and you essentially tell the people you're going to take $174k a year because you need to pay for your "nice house", there is something drastically wrong with your performance.

Anyways, I actually like my old representative and wish she never lost, so I'll go with her.

Was anybody else surprised that the biggest incumbent lose was Dan Maffei in NY-24? He lost by 20 points in a district Obama won by 16 points! I mean, good lord.

Yeah. There were very few places worse for Congressional Democrats this year than NY, at least in terms of winnable races going the other way. I knew Katko fits the district about as well as a Republican can, but Maffei was just pathetic.

Do primary defeats count?

If so, Kerry Bentivolio is my favorite.
