Talks for full normalization of relations and reopening the embassy, per AP.

One thing is certain: the President well handles authority not delegated by Congress. Contrast his awful predecessor.

Nah, a clear majority of Floridians support normalizing relations.

Again, why couldn't he have done all of this before the election?  I feel like at least Udall and Hagan could have won if Obama had done all of this stuff in the weeks before the election.

The Democrats, in their infinite wisdom, told him to disappear.

Again, no. A 2014 midterm Florida electorate supports ending the embargo by 30 points. Even Republicans support it. Stop concern trolling.

It should be obvious what event Obama was waiting for before he would share this news. It happened this week.

Excellent.  Full normal relations should have happened long ago.

The only ones who will actually change their voting behavior due to this are old Miami Cubans. But yeah, obviously it's a bit of a joke.

I commend Obama for showing restraint in waiting until the day after Jeb Bush announced his candidacy to troll him with this announcement.

Of course Obama is doing all of this so he can visit his mentor before Fidelito kicks the bucket.

The president's foreign policy is the sole area where I agree with him consistently. So I approve of this. Good work.

(Fortunately he's confined to foreign policy for the next two years).

Huge error, and one that we'll hopefully learn from in the future. Did it ever occur to anyone that maybe the reason he had such low approval ratings was because Democratic candidates were running away from him and refusing to defend him? I mean it's not like running away from Bush did Republicans any favors in '06 or '08 either.
