As they say, "Only Obama could go to Cuba."

I'm not sure they would say that, and he hasn't been there... yet. Hopefully the things normalisation advocates say will happen- that trade and economic changes will comple political change- are correct, because they've won the day it seems, according to the BBC:

Also, the embargo has apparently cost the Cuban economy $1.1 trillion since 1960. That's an enormous sum considering it's such a small country.

All I'll say is that I hope this doesn't end up being the proverbial thrust that undoes the advances of the socialist revolution in Cuba in the realm of property relations.
