(Rather than party labels - R, D and I/O; I thought I'd experiment with "ideology" labels. Most people broadly can slot themselves into the "right" or "left" wings, unless they're trying to be elected as a Moderate Hero)

Not to mention hasten the demise of the Castro brothers and their successor's regime. Communism on Cuba will only outlast Fidel by a few years at best.

yeah, despite the concerns about re- or neo-colonization, if the Cuban gov't thinks it's strong enough to maintain its character despite the coming deluge, it's not my position to object.
