This, although I think we need to pressure them to improve their human rights record.

Ending the embargo will do more to end the Cuban dictatorship than decades of pointless nonsense ever did.

Which is why the Cuban government is pushing for it?

Yeah, it's just embarrassing Cold War prop at this point, if Nixon and Carter could normalize with China with their numerous human rights abuses and Tibetan occupation... then why the heck can't U.S. normalize with Cuba?

And in my case, you could say (leftist/populist)

For all the awful things in Maoist China, the Tibetian occupation was nowhere near the worst of it.
