Welcome aboard Al! Now you're a right wing warmongering DINO lover too! Cheesy

By the way, Warren and Franken are very close in the Senate. If she was really going to run, why would he endorse Hillary?

The people saying Warren might run remind me of the Freepers who kept insisting Palin was running a stealth campaign in Iowa back in 2011.

LOL, there is a key difference though. Palin led them on purposely just to get donations/attention. Warren has stated at least a hundred times she's not running. She clearly wants to stay in the Senate and maximize her leverage there.

Which I'm sure will be heaving oh-so-heavily on the minds of voters over a decade later.

Welcome back to the team, Al.

You're right. Al Franken's vote for the Iraq War will not matter any more to Hillary's campaign than the fact that Hillary was endorsed by Al Franken.

Al Franken's vote for the Iraq War will not matter as much as Al Franken not voting for or supporting the war or being only a comedian at the time. Hillary didn't win the popular vote unless we count states where Obama was not on the ballot. But if she didn't win the nomination this time it'd be the biggest upset in American political history.

When did Al Franken vote for the Iraq war?  He only entered the Senate in 2009.

That's just a roundabout way of saying supporting Hillary is supporting the Iraq War because she voted for it...never minding she long since recanted and that Bush and Co. lied to Congress to start it.

If a bunch of Democrats and Republicans vote for something that can't easily be placed on the political spectrum, I take issue with characterizing it as "right wing."

I still haven't heard anything concrete as to why Hillary is terrible from either the left or right of her. It's all generalized illusions of awfulness.

I think he's probably like me in that he couldn't care less about the views of the candidate, only about who gives the Democratic Party the best shot at winning.

Well, from the right it's obvious since they vehemently hate anyone with a (D) next to their name. But I don't get the left either. Yeah, she's not exactly a stalwart leftist, we all know that. But if she was anywhere near as bad as some people on the internet pretend she is, there's no way all these progressives would be endorsing her.

Well that problem maybe comes from her general lack of accomplishment.

She's certainly accomplished far more than nearly every Republican contemplating a presidential run.

A little bit of Tuesday Morning Quarterbacking here:

I don't think this is really news.  His endorsement won't mean a whole lot, especially still 13 months from Iowa and New Hampshire.  If his endorsement were made about 9 months from now, it might have a little more significance, especially in Iowa, a neighbor of Minnesota.  Voter's attention spans are shorter than this post, so they likely won't remember.  I would recommend to Sen. Franken to bring this up again and remind voters next Fall, sometime between Labor Day and Halloween.  It still won't mean a whole lot then as endorsements don't appear to mean as much as they used to, but still the timing of this could be better.
