2013 is drawing to an end and hence it's time to retrospect this music year.
10 songs made it to the top of the Billboard Top 100 this year.
Which is your favorite #1 hit?

Favorite 2013 hit: Thrift Shop
Favorite 2012 hit: Somebody that I used to know

Well, I didn't create this list. The songs were democratically chosen by the American people. Smiley

"The Monster" by Eminem feat. Rihanna: my favorite among this mediocre list

"Timber" by Pitbull feat. Kesha:

"Dark Horse" by Katy Perry feat. Juicy J: I actually like this song, but I hate the rap part.

"Happy" by Pharrell Williams: actually a good song, but overplayed on the radio

"All of Me" by John Legend: boring

"Fancy" by Iggy Azalea feat. Charli XCX:

"Rude" by Magic!: Each year seems to have its own misogynist song; last year's was Blurred lines, which justifies rape, and this year's is Rude, which downplays stalking.

"Shake It Off" by Taylor Swift: crap

"All About That Bass" by Meghan Trainor: same as Happy

"Blank Space" by Taylor Swift: meh

We still have time for something magical to happen and an option tolerable to vote for to appear. Uptown Funk would do the job nicely.

No, I'm sorry. Blank Space by Miss "I-hate-Spotify" is officially the last #1 hit of this year.

...there are still 10 days to go though, and there'll be number ones for those weeks, right?

No, not right.
The official Billboard charts published this week are valid for the week of December 27, 2014, to January 2, 2015:

Wow! These results are really ... surprising. Shocked
I didn't know that this forum is a gathering of Taylor Swift fanboys and Spotify haters...

10) All bands with exclamation marks in their names should be treated with suspicion.

I hope that doesn't apply to female rock singers. Tongue
