One of the worst new Senators, no doubt.

Its pretty obvious he's more interested in being part of a national ticket than being a Senator for Arkansas. In fact, he's pretty much everything that Arkansas pol shouldn't be: a cold fish on personality and, politically, supports policies contrary to the populist interests of his state. Its a shame, IMO.

I would really love to have an off-the-record talk with the Clintons about how the politics of their state has devolved to the point where they'd elect Cotton.

Definitely an FF, although a bit hawkish for my liking.

Why is everyone confident he'll be president? If anyone from this class is on a national ticket, I'd say it's Gardner.

He's young, he's a war veteran, he's conservative without coming off as a lunatic (for the most part...) but I think Gardner will probably be on the same bench as Cotton down the road.

Anyway, not a big fan to be honest. A bit too hawkish for me, but he also just seems so... dull.

I don't necessarily think Cotton will be on the ticket any time soon (but considering his ambition, I wouldn't count out him running in 2020 if Hillary is president), but he's only 37. Since he's safe for re-election for the forseeable future, he could even be the Republican nominee 20-30 years from now. Gardner is also a possibility, but there's always the threat he could lose re-election.

His only redeeming quality was defeating the useless DINO, but besides that Cotton's a mega-HP for so many reasons.

Meh, mild FF for knocking off Pryor.  But yes, I agree with ModerateVAVoter.  I think Gardner will be president one day (this can obviously change), but I don't know about Cotton.  Gardner is more charismatic.
