The budget was reported at $44 million. But I'd bet the marketing is well beyond that without how heavily its being marketed. And then factor in the likely class action lawsuits that are coming, investors pulling out and no doubt spike in insurance premiums they'll get, and it wouldn't surprise me if this costs them a quarter of a billion dollars when all is said and done. Thus making it one of the biggest bombs of all time in a way.

Serves them right though, since if they had pursued with release anyway (even if just limited), the movie would've probably been a massive hit regardless of its quality.
