Sell Books, get her name in the news, maybe work at Fox. She knows that she's at the very, very bottom of the VP shortlist.

Her name in the news again. All it'd take to tank her presidential campaign is a re-air of this ad from California:

That was an attack ad against her primary opponent. Unless she's guilty of everything Campbell is, that ad will not sink anything.

Rich people often think the world revolves around them.

Fiorina wants a VP spot or a Treasury Secretary position.

She wants to be President. Of course, just because she wants it doesn't mean she'll get it. She has about as much chance of ever becoming president as I do.

I can actually see that, sadly.

Odds on Secretary of Commerce Fiorina?

I suspect that's what she's really aiming for, but I suspect the Department of Commerce will be eliminated pretty quickly under a Republican president.

The idea of eliminating the Department of Commerce cannoteven be remembered quickly by a prospective Republican president.

When is the last time a Republican eliminated a department? Hell, the last Republican administration CREATED a whole new department!

And so did the Republican administration before that one.

Exposure and influence. She's rich, so it's not about money, but I think part of it is that she wants a platform for her ideas. She'd be the only woman on the debate stage, so Republicans wouldn't mind to see her run (and lose) a respectful campaign. If it goes well, she might raise her profile to be a plausible candidate for Veep or cabinet. Her chances of being President are slim, but that's true of pretty much everyone.
