In both parties, either exploratory committee or full-fledged campaign.

According to this, Fiorina's campaign "could launch as early as [January]".  I don't know about the others.  Most of the other candidates seem to be in delay mode, not ready to launch even an exploratory until March/April/May, but we'll see.  And who the heck knows what folks like Ehrlich and Pataki are going to do.

Maybe Webb since he was the first to launch an exploratory committee and has the steepest hill to climb.

I doubt Clinton will announce until February, announcing in January is for no-hopers.

Rubio needs to wriggle out of his silly "I won't run for President and Senate at the same time" pledge. I doubt ignoring the pledge will hurt him, but if he decides to be stupid and honors it, the GOP won't be happy about having to defend an open Senate seat in Florida so a no-hoper can mount a vanity primary bid.

Hillary announced in January 2007. Tongue Obama announced a few weeks later in early February. Kerry actually announced an exploratory committee in December 2002.

The CW is that Hillary wants a spring announcement, which would probably mean April or May. But that could change.

Rubio isn't a no-hoper. He's  not going to win the nomination, but that doesn't automatically make one a no-hoper (Mike Huckabee 2008)

Bush is pretty much on the cusp of an announcement.

Yeah, Jeb will probably make it official. I wouldn't be surprised if Webb officially jumped in as well.

I actually think that Jeb will wait until the Spring before making it official. His recent moves have been designed to erase any doubt about his intentions and it has worked.

Otherwise, maybe a few of the minor candidates.

Could it be that the moves that Jebby has made recently has basically started the campaign?  It sounds to me like he is running and any kind of announcement is just a formality.

I think, although this is contrary to the conventional wisdom of the past few years, it's become increasingly clear as the primaries approach that Rubio will not run for the Presidency in 2016 and will instead seek reelection to his Senate seat.

He hasn't done anything more than Paul or Rubio or several of the others.  All of them are already running, and any announcement is just a formality, so to speak.
