What? He has no business even addressing this beyond "We're looking into the criminal violations committed".

It was a private business decision to protect their company. And the deal was basically set when the theater chain - the ones who really killed the project - decided not to show it.

Let's be real - he probably decided to pile on Sony because of the racist comments about him in the e-mail.
Yeah, this. The reason they can't show the movie because the theater companies wouldn't allow them to. Obama obviously knows this and is just concern trolling.

lol so Obama's getting payback?  Roll Eyes  Riiiight.  'Cause he's such a vengeful person!
I wouldn't call it "vengeance" but why else would he do this? Sony met with a White House advisor and it wasn't even their fault the movie was pulled to begin with as Obama is undoubtedly aware. Either he was pissed off by the emails or he's just being a dick.

A mushroom cloud needs to be rising above Pyongyang tomorrow morning.

Jokes aside, the President isn't wrong. Sony should not have backed down, and more to the point, we need to retaliate through our own cyber warfare.
Backed down from who? The theater chains?
