Surprised Siegelman gave up so fast.

Anyway, from Wiki:

"no corresponding vote shift in other issues and candidates on these same ballots, a shift that would be expected if they were actually anti-Siegelman voters"

Case closed.

After they got away with stealing the 2000 Presidential election in broad daylight, Republicans attempt to steal elections all the time. At least they weren't successful with their 21 extra votes in that Maine state senate election this year.

No, but the 2004 Washington gubernatorial election was, and so was the 2008 Minnesota Senate race.

SMH. Out of curiosity, do you also think the Nevada 1998 Senate race or the North Dakota 2012 Senate race were also rigged? Because you seem to get mad at the thought of any close race with a Democrat winning.

It is extremely odd that he gave up so easily, considering how obvious the rigging was. Given that he was later charged with bribery and fraud dating back to 1995, maybe he was blackmailed into doing so.

As someone who followed the Minnesota recount, you clearly have no idea what you're talking about. The race was transparently recounted and extensively litigated over a 7 month period with Republican poll watchers, Coleman campaign representatives, and Republican judges taking part. You're a delusional hack if you think it was stolen. Compare it to the Alabama one, where Democrats were completely shut out of the entire process.

Now, you may have a point about the Washington one. I just skimmed the article and it sounded fairly fishy, but I never closely observed that one.

Silly IceSpear, every goodthinking Republican knows that any election where the Democrat Party wins is by default stolen!

Crazy how often Republicans show their disdain for the political process and time and again get away with it.

Probably, though wasn't Alabama controlled by Democrats at the time?

It's certainly a curious case, as is the 2004 Washington Gubernatorial race.

Yes, though the converse I'd prefer to is the 2000 U.S Senate election in Missouri. Democrats stole that one... And the worst part is Ashcroft was still a Senator, we might have had a more realistic/less liberty-trampling PATRIOT Act post 9/11. All because us Democrats decided to rig an election for a dead man.

I really don't think so. You think Ashcroft was egregious? The Bush administration pushed him to go even further and he refused. Surely the administration would've picked someone worse.
