This lawsuit pertains to the beginning of the duly elected Fourteenth Pacific Legislative Council and the illegality of recent actions by the Speaker.

Having established this, the Thirteenth Council convened on the 17th of October and the elected councilors were elected to serve no more than 2 months. Speaker Nix, having been appointed such as myself and Gully Foyle, had his tenure end on the 17th of December at 11:33 pm.

I petition that Justice Ebowed order Governor Varavour to begin the Fourteenth Pacific Legislative Council and retroactively invalidate all official action taken by Speaker Nix and other councilors from the end of their term.

Addendum: Having looked over the times of actions taken, etc... it looks as if recent actions taken by Nix were constitutional, but I don't know what Councilors are/aren't allowed to do once their term has ended and it is unclear when the next will begin; that's up to Ebowed to decide I guess.

We'll need to open a new legislative session and hold an election for speaker, yes.  The newly elected speaker could then continue presiding over legislation already on the floor.

Has the petitioner contacted the Governor?

I PM'ed you on the 17th on starting the new council and Paleo posted on your office thread. Alerting Ebowed was the best option after 4 days of nothing happening as far as beginning a new council goes.

I guess that's all irrelevant now. I hope we have a productive session!
