I'm skeptical about planted calls, even on local sports talk radio -- people who have worked in the biz say they most certainly do happen. I'm even more skeptial here -- wouldn't there be Secret Service issues involved and whatnot? the president can't just pick up a phone and do what he wants.
No doubt this was planned in advance, though the station probably didn't tell Patrick it was going to happen
Also IMO the worst planted calls are on Sean Hannity's radio show- so many callers just sound like they're literally reading from a script
