In the United States we call that particular authentic Italian dish "mozzarella sticks." It is tradition that it be served with a side of marinara dipping sauce.

There is a woman at my office who brings Chef Boyardee ravioli for lunch like every other day. It's absolutely disgusting. She's also like 50 years old and should either know better or know how to actually cook lunch for herself.

This would be far better with some gruyere, parmesan, and white cheddar fried like that and served with a hot bowl of campbells tomato soup.
