Same here, though it's written "Tomasz".

I have two; my birth certificate has my middle name as 'Mark Borisovich', Mark being my actual middle name and then Borisovich being an Eastern Slavic-style patronymic.

Erwin, meaning I have the same full name as my father and grandfather. I was named after the latter, who passed away before I was born.

Is that a common Austrian custom?

Richard Manuel. Richard is after my grandfather, Manuel is after my grandmother Manuela, who was also named after her grandfather Manuel. That it was the name of a member of the Band is allegedly coincidental.

No, I don't think so, I can't think of any that are from top of my head. I guess it's just family custom, which arose at some point.
