I feel he may actually sit this one out, I don't see a path forward for him to win the nomination unless his favorability and poll numbers go up.

Good, maybe he'll sit out, which could potentially give Kasich a boost.

At the beginning of the year Christie was polling around 11-12% both nationally and in NH (down from his post 2013 election highs but still respectable), now he is in the 4-5% range and is in risk of not even making the cut for the first debate. His trips to NH and appearances on FOX are not working. I doubt a big announcement would give him a bump as he already has very high name recognition. I think he isn't going to run because his ego wants to avoid embarrassment.

Of course he may truly be self-delusional enough to believe he can still win.

Is it just me that is bugged when candidates use "we" instead of "I".   I know the we refers to the campaign, but it just feels like the 'royal "we"'

You're going to need to get over that.

Jeb Bush names the person who would be his campaign manager, among other high level jobs in the hypothetical campaign….you know, if he decides to run….because he's still not really sure if he's running, right?

He's buried himself too deep to be much of a factor, so he probably should sit this one out.  That said, this is his best shot.  His time will have passed if he doesn't give it a go this year.  I don't see him going anywhere in 2020.

I mean, his family members have to realize he has no shot of winning the nomination, right? Right?

Christie has an opening if Bush, Rubio, and Walker all implode.

Btw, Kasich is now saying that he'll most likely announce in July:

http://www.dispatch.com/content/stories/local/2015/05/31/capitol-insider-gov--kasich-signals-a-july-announcement-about-a-2016-run.html

This makes it sound like he's pushing back his previously suggested "end of June" timeline, but I think that's not quite right.  I guess he'll "decide" by the end of June, and then announce in July.  Christie seems to be on the same timeline.

And in the further adventures of Kasich's early primary state tour, he'll be in Nevada on Thursday:

Webb will be in Iowa on Sunday:

Bush will appear on The Tonight Show w/ Jimmy Fallon on June 16th, the day after he's set to announce whether he's running for president:

Running as what?  Indy?  I've always thought you can never completely rule him out mainly because he has the funds to fully pay for his own campaign.  What brings you to invoke his name?

This suggests him running as a Dem. I bring him up, because Morden is like a catfish bottom feeder, who digs up every above room temperature body out there that has some vague possibility of seeking the brass ring. So he seems to have missed a morsel to feed on, and we don't want him to miss a meal now do we?  He might stave to death!

Fair enough, though there doesn't seem to be much there there.  Mostly other people wanting him to run rather than him expressing any interest in running himself.

In this thread?  My only posts about her were about her denials.

Not that I'm trying to discourage you or others from taking a more expansive view of what should go in this thread.  Just that I'm more focused on the folks who are, themselves, expressing interest in some way.

NBC states the obvious: If Donald Trump, as expected, announces that he's running for president next week, they'll have to get a new Celebrity Apprentice host:

Speaking of which, here are his plans...
