Make of this what you will. I personally don't see a threat to the Anointed One... yet.

Biden's been in and out of double digits the entire time. Warren's been consistently trending up too.

Yea but what I'm saying is both are averaging at 10%+ now. I think the first poll (correct me if I'm wrong) that had both at 10%+ was the ABCNews/Washington Post (Oct 9-12, 2014).

Warren isn't running and Biden is a clown. The anointed one is safe.

I highly doubt that Biden will run, and Warren has said over and over again she won't.

Is the bloom coming off the rose?

Voters are looking around for an alternative.

"The Anointed One?" Is Obama running again?! Term limits must now be racist.

More concerning trolling. Seriously. Like Elsa says, "Let it go."

Even if neither of them runs those who say they support them now will likely switch to a candidate who does run. I also wouldn't be surprised if Hillary continues to fall in the polls from the current pace she's on.

LOL. Only on Atlas is a non incumbent president polling at 62% a sign of vulnerability and proof that "voters are looking around for an alternative".

Anyway, this thread is silly. The fact that it's apparently newsworthy that two candidates besides Hillary have broken double digits just underscores her complete and utter dominance. In 2008, no candidate ever broke 50%. This year, nobody in the GOP field can even crack 20%.

IceSpear, despite how rabid you seem about how Hillary and how much I dislike her, I always agree with you when it comes to her chances. Thanks for the good posts!

Indeed. To Clinton.

I think as time goes on, someone will coalesce the anti-Clinton support and probably garner 33%+ (could be as low as 33%, could be higher) in the primaries. I could be totally off; Gore won every primary and caucus in 2000.

I wouldn't mind to see Biden-Webb ticket absent a Hilary candidacy, but Warren has stated she isn't interested.

Hillary will still win the primary, but it will be closer than expected.

Why? Because two candidates are in double digits in the polls in December 2014? And one of those won't even run?

Yeah. It doesn't matter who you are, a person can't simply run away with an open presidential primary.

Depends how you define "closer than expected". The beltway pundits apparently think Hillary is in for the fight of her life, so it certainly won't be closer than they expect. That said, she probably won't win by 50 points either.

Anyway, people call me a hack for talking about how Hillary is a 99% favorite in the primary, but I'd be arguing this even if I despised her. I constantly argue against the "Texas will soon be blue!" crap even though I would really like for that to happen. The simple fact is that her polling leads are completely unprecedented for a non incumbent. She's polling just as good or better than Gore did in 1998/1999. It would be one of the biggest upsets in American political history if she lost the primary.

It took an historic candidacy and one of the best campaigners of the last 50 years to knock her off in 2008. Whatever you think of President Obama, campaigner Obama is right up there with Clinton and Reagan.

Despite all the winds at Obama’s back, he still didn’t get more primary votes than she did, and that’s when she was up 15-25 points. Now, she is up 40-50 points on the rest of the field, and there is no potential challenger to her (Warren, Webb, and Biden) that is as talented on the campaign trail as Obama is.

If I were a conspiracy theorist, I’d conclude the media was purposely lowering expectations for her so they can shower her with praise after she coasts to the nomination.

LOL! Hillary will crush both of them in the primary. The fact that polling in double-digits is even suggesting GOOD news for them is quite telling.
