Now I'm not sure how to do fining, so I may put it under the umbrella of drunk driving.

Why can't we also spend some of the money on things like school funding?

Why can't we also spend some of the money on things like school funding?

Because the point of this bill would be to end a person's addiction to these substances.

Fair enough, amendment and objection withdrawn.

Just for legislators who don't know, I changed 3 so that it falls under DUI law so that fines can change with it.

With 4 votes in favor and none against, this amendment passes.

I think is about as good as it's going to get, so I'm going to motion a vote on this bill.

Do you want to wait for the new group or go now? If now, I'll second.

Now that I think about who is going to be in the new legislature, I may hold off on any motion of voting.

Nay, I just realized the bill actually needs one other amendment.

Edit: The more I think about it, even with amendment, I don't think I can vote for this.

Which amendment? I'm not sure I really want to sell meth to the public either. I'm ok with decriminalizing it, but unlike marijuana, which isn't harmful, meth is

I think meth refers to methamphetamine.

Plus we're already open for a vote here.

It says methadone, not methamphetamine.

What does this change in comparison to the federal law we passed in 2014? What did we legalize? Didn't we decriminalize almost all drugs? My opinions differ when it comes to decriminalization versus controlled sale/making it available to the public.
