report from Human Rights Watch documents the horrible situation of the Muslim population in the Western part of the country, where they are forced in large refugee camps with no option of fleeing given by the UN or the government.
The situation in the C.A.R. needs to be addressed right now. The country's Muslim population has been menaced ever since the fall of the mostly Muslim Sélékas last year, and instead they have been brutally killed by the Christian/Animist anti-Balaka rebels in genocidal massacres.
Anyway, I read this news story after reading about Srebenica--does anyone more knowledgeable than me think that an anti-Balaka attack on one of these camps is at all likely? I hope not
