A scenario I'm sure all of you have had something similar with before: You meet someone at a show or party or whatever, they seem pretty normal and standard for the event, you look them up to add them on Facebook later, and their Facebook is full of all sorts of Jesus references, Bible quotes, etc. And they didn't seem like the type at all.

Of course I see it as a positive, and even more positive and funny if I saw them getting high previously (for which this has happened more than once.)

It's not something that would make me like them more, but as long as there's nothing attacking atheists, gays, etc. I wouldn't see it as a problem.

Somewhere between 2 and 3.  It's usually very disappointing, and sometimes quite surprising.  The second I see any of that stuff show up on my newsfeed, I immediately 'unsubscribe' from seeing their posts, or whatever it's called.

Is this something...common? I've never seen any one of my friends post about Christian stuff, and one of them is a nun.

I thought you were a Christian.

You probably go to metal shows instead of what I go to. That's why.

I didn't even know things like this happen. I don't tend to stalk people after a concert.

My reaction would be utter surprise that I had bothered with Facebook.

I live in Glasgow. It's probably the least likely thing for people to post on Facebook.

Don't care (not a rude person who judges someone solely on their religious convictions)

The more dramatic and outspoken someone is about their religious beliefs the more I'm likely not to take their religiosity (including lack thereof) seriously. I know it shouldn't, but it seems it somehow betrays a kind of insecurity. Some people are just really excited about their beliefs and sharing them, and that's fine, but.. no one cares. And if you're only really excited about it when online you're just odd in a bad way.

I'm with Brewer.  A number of my FB friends are from the "old country" (NoDak) and lots of them put a lot of Christian posts up during the holidays.  But all of them so far have been positive, and since they're believers and it makes them happy, I don't mind.

Same. I'm Presbyterian, but don't decide whether someone is a friend or enemy based on religion, provided it doesn’t involve killing for a good time.

Never really happened on the facial. The Atlas Forum is where I go to roll my eyes at the Jesus shtick.

Option 2, along with what Clarko95 said (neither a slavering fanatic nor a histrionic bigot).

Bewilderment, horror, sadness. Fortunately I'm not American so the odds of this happening are infinitesimally small.

I see this from time to time.  Usually it's somebody I knew in high school, or years ago, who was a stoner or a drunk, and in one case a guy I knew who has been married four times because his wives kept leaving him on account of his taste for prostitutes.  Now they're straight and narrow and have the little fish logo on their facebook pages and some poem about how the times when there's only one set of footprints on the beach.

Also, it's not always the Jesus religion.  In at least two cases it was Islam that was featured on their facebook pages.  Both of those guys were black and were people I sort of knew in high school and both went to prison for a long time.  And in one case it was Buddhism referenced on facebook from a former associate of mine, who was a petty thief and drug addict.

I voted for the middle option, but that's not quite right.  In no case was I truly horrified, but I'm usually a bit surprised at first.  Then it sort of makes sense.  In all cases it was someone who had some sort of trouble and has somehow turned over a new leaf.  Whether it was Jesus or Buddha or Allah or Zoroaster or a light bulb, it seems that finding religion was somehow beneficial for them.

I suppose I must have hung out with a pretty rough crowd when I was younger.
