These are two different situations. Ohio has the rust belt appeal for trump that we've all debated and talked about quite a bit. In addition, Republicans generally do better there than nationally.

Iowa I believe was less expected to be strong for him. I don't know exactly why he's doing well out there. Over the weekend I traveled through southern Delaware (big agricultural region) and I noticed many farms with Trump signs - none for Hillary. Perhaps Trump has some appeal in the Ag industry?

Seems sort of odd since he threatened to deport a slice of their workforce (sorry), but I guess there's other factors at play here.

IF Trump wins by about 5 (not that I'm predicting that), I could see Delaware being a surprise nailbiter.

How delusional can you get?

That guy is the same neanderthal who claimed that Minnesota will be a Safe R state in the next few years and that Democrats will soon not be able to win anything in the state aside from the urban congressional districts.

using "neanderthal" as an insult definitely belongs in this thread.

The one consolation about Grayson running in the first place is that he's going to be out of congress.
Yes, we need to take back our party from the Sanders wing.

"Sanders wing" never controlled the party, unless I'm missing something and Bernie is the current Democratic nominee.
The Sanders wing lobbied to take away the right for DNC reps to choose who to vote for in future presidential primaries. The sanders wing forced out our great former chair DWS. The sanders wing wrongly framed our great progressive nominee Hillary Clinton as corrupt corporate shill. Finally the Sanders wing is trying to defeat hard working establishment Democrats like DWS, Patrick Murphy, ect.

Really the whole thing could go in here, but saying that DWS was a good chair after 2014 is over the line.

So you enjoy humiliating posters like that? Seriously? It's not surprising from "I didn't give a  about gay people until I become gay" Hagridofthedeep, but from other posters, I'm quire shocked.

Meh, it's true that I was a closeted gay conservative. And yeah, I didn't support marriage equality (I guess it was partly out fear of being found out). I'm ashamed of many of the positions I held back then. But even so, I don't think I ever accused gay people of being "against the natural order," and if I did I sincerely, sincerely apologize. Being uncomfortable with your sexuality is a sh-tty thing.

Anyway, Windjammer has apologized, so it's fine.

Title updated. Thanks FL for sending both Alan Grayson and his wife Dena Grayson back home to cry!!!
Glad to see that people in FL-09 know that socialism is never the answer!

How is Dena Grayson a "socialist"?

The wife of a socialist is a socialist by association.

Anyone who is in any way associated with Bernie Sanders is a socialist. If you at any point supported him, you're a socialist. Anyone he supported at any time is also a socialist. Anyone related to him is a socialist, and anyone related to anyone who he supported or anyone who supported him is also a socialist. Red scare FTW!

Judging from his commentary on any "Socialist"'s primary, I'd say Wulfric is literally terrified of socialism. Like, a legit phobia that causes irrational behavior and thought.

I just know that it's a terrible ideology for this country. I'm scared that this country isn't realizing that as much as it should because a self-declared socialist got 43% of the national primary vote for the largest party in the united states, and in doing so came within striking distance of winning more states than Hillary (not counting the territories), and wasn't locked out of a majority of pledged delegates until June.

Also, the rule of "socialism by association" is thus:

Anyone who is improperly associated with Bernie Sanders is a socialist. If you at any point supported him for president, you're a socialist. Anyone he supported at any time before they won their party's nomination, and those related to such people, is also a socialist. Anyone related to him or anyone who supported him for president is also a socialist. People that were not endorsed by Sanders until they reached their respective general election are not socialists. Therefore, Hillary Clinton is not a socialist.

Wulfric, a staunch anti-socialist has a question to ask you -- do you consider Collin Peterson (noted Bernie endorser, but generally considered to be one of the most right-wing remaining Democrats in the House) to be a socialist?

Yes. He endorsed Sanders for president. Only a socialist would endorse a socialist presidential candidate.

I agree.  Liberals care more about illegal immigrants than its own citizens.  We have a President who has expressed more outrage at the GOP and the NRA than at radical Muslims who kill people.  This is a President who called the ISIS a "JV squad," refuses to use the term "radical Islam," and called the Fort Hood shooting a case of "workplace violence."  Americans are tired of liberals demonizing white men, accusing them of "white male privilege," and trying to force our daughters/sisters/nieces/wives/moms to use the same bathroom as a confused middle-aged man who thinks he's a "woman."

Dang, you beat me to it! I guess my sister, who was very pro-Hillary in the primary, is also a socialist, and everyone in my sister-in-law's family (some of whom are conservative Republicans) are also socialists, since we're doing this by association. Man, how paranoid can you get about an ideology which is already quite present in America in ways which we take for granted?

I'm 99% sure he's trolling which is why I posted it in the funny post gallery rather than here.

Though now that I think about it, it would be even funnier if he was serious.

RI has let the memes get to his head

Does this thread serve any purpose other than trying to get people into saying they would vote for the white nationalist?

ome people just take their hatred of them to an unhealthy extreme.

Sounds like most SJWs.

One side is a bit overdramatic. The other advocates the inherent superiority of a race over the other. Clearly that's a very tough choice.

Err... SJW's regularly advocate for the genocide (or at least oppression) of white men... I have zero qualms about voting against a bloc that actively hates my demographic and believes we're responsible for all the evil in the world.

There are literally thousands of examples of this.

Gilmore would have a chance if the media wasn't committed to silencing him.

He was gaining some momentum around labor day but then CNN ruined it when they carefully made sure that he wouldn't be included in the September debate even though every other candidate was.

I wanna give him the benefit of the doubt and say he's trolling, but it's Wulfric, so you never know.

The purpose of the thread isn't to have page(s)-long arguments. Ideally it would be nice not to have to sift through pointless arguments that span one or more pages to find the archived crappy posts we so enjoy.
