True leftist "morality":

I don't think he really gets a pass at this point. At least he stayed out of Rwanda.

it unites the world's objectively best nations together. there's only like 10 nations outside of it that aren't wholly and totally useless or bad.

obvious freedom alliance (left-leaning).

It probably has more to do with the fact that you refer to the developed (at the cost of the other segments of the globe, which the countries in question have raped and pillaged to develop themselves) countries that comprise NATO as "objectively the best nations." Nothing says parochial ignorance like looking at a bunch of rich nations and saying 'wow, these are the best!' while likewise not noting how they came to be where they are or how they maintain the international disparity between themselves and the developing economies they exploit to keep the capitalist system afloat.

Of course, if it helps, the second part was more facetious than serious.

Easy to say that when you've been called out on your own retrograde opinion, isn't it?

Why would it be difficult to say that? It's not exactly difficult to go out and explain a portion of my post.

I'm certainly not taking it back. Why would I? Nor does this "calling out" mean much.

ayyyy Wulfric the "Independent" everyone.

If I vote for a candidate because I like them, and not because they are just a lesser of two evils, it will always be a moderate of some type. I will not back down from criticizing the tea party conservative movement and its Santorum-esque proponents, nor will I back down from criticizing the partisan liberal movement and its Shaheen-esque proponents.

Ah, our resident theocratic moderate hero strikes again!

They were, after all, the product of a war-monger who was so blood thirsty he foamed at the month whenever the word "Vietnam" was uttered, unlike FFs such as Calvin Coolidge and Ronald Magnus Reagan, who stood for truth, justice and the American way.

1. Donald Trump
Donald Trump has a history of supporting higher taxes, gun control, and he still stands behind his support for protective tariffs and opposition to overthrowing Saddam Hussein. Additionally, Trump is the king of corporate welfare, has donated to Hillary Clinton, and says Bill Clinton is his favorite President since 1989.

2. Chris Christie
In New Jersey, Chris Christie failed to cut taxes despite promising to do so in 2009, and he actually reduced property tax relief and tax relief for the working poor. He increased spending on education as the state increased it's debt and has seen 8 credit downgrades under his watch, he's presided over record corporate welfare that he has supported, he expanded medicaid under Obamacare, and his administration has an abysmal record of property rights. Christie says that it was a mistake to go into Iraq in 2003 despite the evidence saying otherwise.

3. Rand Paul
Perhaps more than anyone else on this list, Rand Paul has tremendous appeal to the liberal wing of the Democratic Party. He wants to allow felons to vote, he has reservations about the death penalty for the worst of murderers, he has filibustered the Patriot Act and drones against terrorists, he opposed sanctions against Iran, he has flip-flopped on keeping GITMO open, and he supports the government picking winners and losers in our tax code. Paul could run as an alternative to Hillary Clinton on foreign policy, to the left of her if that's even possible.

4. George Pataki
George Pataki is pro-choice, signed into law some of the toughest gun laws in America, and he increased taxes by $3 billion in his final term in office.

Ideological fanaticism at work.

I may risk going into psychobabble here, but there could be more than 'race' and 'white guilt' here. Rachel Dolezal is a bright daughter of Christian fundamentalist parents  who put her in a gilded cage. Czech ancestry? This is not likely a home in which the music of Smetana, Dvorak, and Martinu (they are delightful composers!) are a disproportionate part of the music on the stereo. This is the homogenized, shuttered world of fundamentalist preaching and scolding. Most likely it is one of sexual repression in which the sole purpose of sex is to have Christian fundamentalist children in huge numbers. An intelligent girl is likely to reject this view of life and seek something very different.

Race may not be an overt problem for religious fundamentalists. Christian Protestant Fundamentalism accept non-whites should they accept the package of Biblical literalism, cultural blandness, and sexual repression. Getting the opportunity to get as far away from that environment as possible, she went to a historically-black university with intellectual rigor. Not only did she discover African-American culture; she also discovered secularism which permits a greater variety of possible plans in life than marrying early to have lots of children to be harnessed to a stilted view of the world.

Just imagine that she had attended Brandeis University, a well-regarded Jewish university. She would have discovered a world view very different from that of her parents. She might have still gotten a degree in Fine Arts... and ended up marrying some wonderful Jewish husband who introduces her to, among other things, the music of Smetana, Dvorak, and Martinu; such music is fully compatible with Jewish life as it was in Czechoslovakia when the country had a large and influential Jewish majority before Satan Incarnate (Hitler) took the country over in 1938 and 1939. Finding Jewish life so attractive at the least for intellectual freedom and gender equality, she converts to Judaism. She raises her children Jewish and starts assuming that her Swedish and German ancestors were really Jews. Her parents are incensed!

Just imagine that she had attended Notre Dame, and fell in love with some sophisticated, intelligent, decent Polish-American Catholic from Chicago. He introduces her to the sort of culture that one would expect of well-educated Polish-Americans. He gets her to discover her Czech heritage, and she fits in. Her art often becomes heavily devotional to the Virgin Mary. Her parents are incensed!

pbrower trying to prove every point I have made about "progressives" in the last six years in one single post:

There would be some risks. Another high-profile candidate might decide to go with a similar strategy, and get all the attention (IE- Condoleeza Rice, Susanna Martinez or Mitt Romney.) Other candidates might take off leaving less spots available in the top ten. And he might be a bit out of practice (part of the reason Thompson and Perry didn't get the nomination.)

Mitt Romney has less interest in running for President than Elizabeth Warren does. Plain and simple.

It's kind of funny that while West Virginia became a state due to left-wing causes (staying in Union/abolishing slavery), Virginia got its current borders due to right-wing causes (Confederacy). Now they're switched.

We sure love revisionist history!

When a Muslim commits an act of terror, we often ask why the Muslim community isn't standing up to repudiate their actions.

Should white Southerners be asked to apologize and condemn Dylann Roof's acts of racial violence?

Should they be asked to take their racist, hateful flag down from their pubic buildings and unequivocally admit, once and for all, that their ancestors were treasonous traitors on the wrong side of history?

The movement is building and is on track to wipe her out ... again.

Even the most die-hard Hillary-enablers and bubble-ists should start getting nervous at this sight.

Tender's predictions make OC's look sane and measured by comparison.

If the shooting actually happened, his punishment should be having to watch racial cuckold porn on rerun forever. But, I'm of the opinion that this whole thing was a false-flag. Way too many things don't make sense about this incident. The kid had a black friend who said he never said anything racist, the FBI "just happened" to be having an active shooter drill on the exact day of the "shooting", and the victim's family members just look like terrible actors. Seriously, how are you going to tell me that their family members were just slaughtered?

Not to mention, this story conveniently checks all of the boxes on the agenda of government control.

Justification for gun control? Check.
Justification for govt control of the Internet ("I wasn't raised racist, I became radicalized online!")? Check.
Justification for defining domestic citizens as "terrorists" ("this shooting was an act of terrorism, it's absolutely critical that we recognize and describe it as this!")? Check.

And to top it all off, the family members of the "victims" are being given $29 million by the Federal government. You seriously think they would give that much just to "help them recover"?

I could be wrong, but this whole thing just seems way too sus.
