Two separated by only one post, form the same thread:

Well maybe if Natives placed more value as a culture on education and not being trash this wouldn't be a problem. And yes I would say the same for poor whites in the Southeast before you predictably try to play that card.

If Rez life sucks so hard, why do they stay?

Speaking of Cory, the fact that this r/atheism-esque comment got crossposted to the Simple Truths mine is incredibly worrying:

Whatever it takes for you to go to sleep thinking that the good people get ice cream and soda and the bad guys have to eat vegetables at the kids table, and the bad guys sill "lose", even if they actually win.

Write-in: No for feminist reasons *and* b/c it'll have terrible psychological effects on any children produced by such a relationship.

Seriously?!? That's your argument?!? After all the attempts to dismiss "psychological effects on children" as an argument against gay, interracial, multi-cultural, transgender relationships through the years and you pull that card now just because you dislike some groups of people that practice it?

Give me a freaking break!

Comparing Equality, to marrying multiple people, which has had disastrous impacts in the world, particularly with the oppression of women, and them being kept as a lower level, as well as children not being adequately taken care after.

Comparing Equality, to marrying multiple people, which has had disastrous impacts in the world, particularly with the oppression of women, and them being kept as a lower level, as well as children not being adequately taken care after.

So? Interracial marriages and relations also have had disastrous impacts on the world depending on the context (I am in this case referring to explorers who took women with them, and no, not just Westerners did this). Homosexual relations also kept women down, once again depending on the context (In this case Ancient Greece).

But, in those contexts, those societies were not prepared to deal with treating anyone besides the ruling class with respect.  And in places where women still face the absolute worst,  there are far greater issues to address.

But here and now in the Western world, with all the human rights laws, the diversity, and many relationship types that are forced  to be worked with, such marriages could be legalized and well regulated to work so as to work around the shortfalls (Ex: Create a new limit to avoid incest, tighten consent laws, allow polyandry and polygyny both, etc.).

Also it should be noted that women in 19th century Utah fared better than the average 19th century American woman (especially in the case of The South), and it was because, not in spite of polygamy that this was the case.

So yeah, your argument is literally bunk.

Really all of L.D. Smith's posts in this thread could go here, tbh.

I am not joking when I am saying that Trump´s economic policy, as currently stated, is more dangerous for the US than a nuke exploded in downtown NYC: economic effects of Trump presidency would be much worse than those of a Russian or a Chinese nuclear attack.

Some grade-A #analysis from AG. Because, as we all know, the party of Mitch McConnell will definitely let Bernie Sanders join them.

A lot depends on what happens between now and November. If he does not edorse Clinton and the Senate majority does not depend on it, I could easily see Dems asking him to leave the caucus. I mean, if Republicans want, they could give him a committee assignment and speaking time out of their share.

He's allowed his opinion. I don't agree. I know I've gushed over women others found unattractive.
That doesn't make him wrong, that makes you desperate. Wink

Yeah, that part is still less absurd than him even wanting to join the Republican caucus in the first place.

Emphasis on the second part:

The Tea Party movement threw out one of the best Senators in the nation and replaced him with one of the worst.  Same goes for the Minnesota Supreme Court in 2009.

He was sure friendly to Muslims when he voted to invade Iraq. Or voted for Gitmo. Or voted for the PATRIOT Act and other laws that target Muslim Americans.

I am not shedding any tears for this prick. He was a Bush II era Republican in every sense of the term, and when the cracks started to form in the dam, he didn't lift a finger to plug them. Which is why, when the dam broke, he was the first to be carried away in the tidal wave. One sob story that I'm sure his children (who grew up in the elite Washington/NoVA bubble) made up to show that he was above the rubes doesn't do any justice to him. Bob Bennett was part of the problem, and not the solution.

RIP HP.

Well, I'm not surprised that you buy into the circa 2006 Republican Main Street caucus narrative.

Better. Trump is much better at this than Romney ever was.

He is not running against a dark though.

Arkansas will probably vote similarly to Utah. If Clinton wins by enough to win Utah (maybe by 10-15 points nationally), then she could win Arkansas as well.

Why is that a bad post? The fact that Trump's opponent is not a dark is literally the only argument against him improving among the white vote. If he was running against Deval Patrick or Cory Booker it would be virtually certain he'd be cracking 60% among whites, and could potentially even do better than Reagan in 84.

Can we ban ShadowoftheAbyss?  He posted something with "pornhub" in the thread name (which also described it as NSFW) on the off-topic board.  Admittedly, I don't actually know what he posted since I didn't click on the thread (normal/not a pervert), but judging by the thread title, it's probably something horrible.

I know the term Radical Centrist can be confusing. On one hand you have establishment types such as Thomas Friedman and Fareed Zhakaria who have used that term to describe their ideology, which is Neo-liberal globalism. On the other you have a Radical Centrist Populism which is protectionist, immigration restrictionist, and was best represented by the Reform Party, which Trump was once a member of. Trump wrote a book back in 2000 when he was considering a run under the Reform Party. Back than he was pro-choice and advocated a massive tax increase on the ultra wealthy. Since than Trump has ran to the right to win the GOP primary. My personal ideal of radical Centrism would be a combination of the best aspects of Pat Buchanan, Ron Paul, and Ralph Nader. Trump is far from idea but he is the closest to that of anyone running.

Bolding by me. The idea that any combination of positions from these three could be called radical centrism is absurd.
