I generally assume that those with around 100 posts and make terrible threads are not joking and are in fact dullards.

This one is very obvious and most of the dullards around here have 10000+ posts.

Hoffa, to my limited knowledge, as a Teamster supported Republicans. I'll vote for the Michigan Republican & Neo-Liberal Italian over an ex-Democrat Southron and a woman.

I was more emphasizing how terrible "I'll vote for the Michigan Republican & Neo-Liberal Italian over an ex-Democrat Southron and a woman." is.
You clearly don't get Cathcon's sense of humor yet.

A post using "humor" can also be bad.

^Could you both leave, or is that asking too much?

Yes it is. Humor can be good or bad. It is subjective which is which, but so is everything that is put in the Deluge. I would prefer Cathcon to leave (or stop using "humor"), you would prefer me to leave. Neither is gong to happen. So just use the ignore button.

Really this is all a consequence of feminists being idiots and people who enjoy video games taking the first excuse to attack them for their idiocy, even if the initial excuse is silly and trivial. I'm not condoning it, but really, what do you expect when a bunch of whiny bitches rant about how video games are evil and misogynist (just like metal, porn, comic books, dieting, sitting with your legs spread, and everything else, including sex itself).

I don't believe so. I believe the Antichrist will come from Europe.  Plus, outside of the United States, Jordan is Israel's biggest ally which is odd since Jordan is an Arab country. One of the requirements for the Antichrist is he must hate Israel.  King Abdullah likes Israel, so he's out of the running.

The problem is that Jews get blamed for what Israel does just like on the flip side Muslims get blamed for terrorism. When violence against Jews occurs a lot become zionists because they don't know any better and can't look at what Israel's doing objectively just like Muslims might become anti-semites because of the atrocities that Israel commits in Gaza. I wish that people could just acknowledge that Israel is a lunatic racist state and bigotry against Jews is also ed up, that plenty of Jews oppose what Israel is doing and in a sense the right-wing in Israel probably loves seeing hatred against Jews increased because it means that more will flee to Israel.

No. The Senate slows everything down to a crawl and keeps government foolishness at a minimal. It does not nearly keep enough foolish down but it does an okay job at it. If anything we should ONLY have the Senate because then gridlock would make governing almost impossible.

I would let a million Iraqi and Syrian women and children be raped, tortured and burned alive before I consented to a single drop of American blood being shed there.

Whether this is a necessary or just war is beside the point.

America cannot fight a necessary, just war today because America chose to fight an unnecessary, unjust war twelve years ago. I lay that at the feet of the failed foreign policy of George W. Bush and those elements of the Republican Party that still believe in neoconservative nonsense.

The 57% who support such a thing can go over there and take a stab at it themselves, as far as I'm concerned.

And if I have to listen to that senile old fart John McCain whine anymore about how we need to help his neo-Nazi fascist friends in Ukraine take over the country, I'm going to vomit.

The language might be extreme but I don't see how that's absurd, ignorant or bad.

1) The first part is the sort of cynicism I wanted to put in the Willips Brighton Asylum of Gross, Cruel and Insensitive Remarks, but that has been merged by some anonymous mod that apparently thought this would cover those things, so putting it here.

2) The last part about Ukraine is either ignorant or an outright lie (=bad).

Being a Jew means being a minority. When they became a majority, they stopped being Jews.

For the record, I reject the concept of natural rights as a vague and useless abstract. Despite this difference in core philosophy, however, I suppose AI has done more good than harm in many instances.

The idea of "natural rights" is stupid, Snowstalker is correct on that count.

Sure, but the context of the thread makes all his philosophical tirade completely unwarranted and pointless.

This.

....

Here is another gem:

modern fashion trends have destroyed the traditional concept of preventing men from harassing women.

Nuclear power has shown to be a dangerous and unpredictable source of energy--see Chernobyl, 3 Mile Island, etc.

No.

Posted for answering a complex question with a simple yes/no.

There's nothing complex about it, you see, once you look past the hysteria.

That is ridiculous given accidents like Fukushima and the consequences if things go wrong. Nuclear energy is needed to reduce global warming, but saying it isn't dangerous in any way is frivolous.

Anyway, what do you hope to accomplish with the "no" answers? (you use them a lot). They just make you appear like an arrogant prick.

Africa is not educated enough for self rule. The whole continent should be put under UN rule, the number one priority should be establishing universal primary education, then after 3 generations or so have been through that system, maybe they can try democracy again.

Wouldn't be needed if humanity stopped reproducing like rats.

Everything would be much easier if the world population would only be 10 million instead of the soon 10 billion and renewables would be plenty available.

Misanthropic garbage.

Still, hard to disagree with.

Not if you don't regard the human race as vermin.

^^^^^

I don't know how the idea that we should cull 7.115 billion people is hard to disagree with.

What he said was that the problem would not be there if we were fewer people, not that we should "cull" the human population or that humans are vermin.

Tender was being hyperbolic, but not wrong.

I think comparing humans to rats is always distasteful, because of the obvious implications running from that. Whatever your thoughts may be on the earth's carrying capacity and Malthusian notions, I Find the rat comparison deeply troubling.

I would agree with tender more if he substituted the words 'reproducing like rats' with 'consuming so much'.

More people = more consumption.

Everybody wants a cosumerist lifestyle. That will be extremely hard to change - probably impossible.

My top 5 Party Choices:
1. Likud (I voted this way in the poll and my sig should make it obvs)
2. The Jewish Home
3. Kulanu
4. Yisrael Beiteinu
5. Shas

In other words, kill all Palestinians, amirite

You support Communism, you shouldn't talk about killing. Your movement has more blood on it's hands then any other ideology.

Yeah, but the difference is that the people killed by say, the Bolsheviks, weren't people who were systematically denied the right to have electricity in their homes, meaningful work, or adequate food. The Bolsheviks and co. actually killed people who did things that were pretty abhorrent and that would never have been held accountable for them otherwise. Were they always right? Definitely not. But they never set out to systematically eradicate an entire group of people because Russia was "god's gift" to them or whatever bullsh**t you Zionist-fascists go on about.

Killing is not in and of itself immoral. Everything is contextual. Wiping out the white armies that would overturn Russian democracy and enslave the people =/= wiping out Palestinians because they had the gall to live somewhere that a group of chauvinist imperialist-lackeys decided was their land.

Absurd defence of a group that eradicated so many groups based on pseudo-religious ideological hatred and obviously hyperbolic regarding the Zionists.

No.  You share the same sentiments and thus defend him.  But it is these innocuous 'facts' that begin to manifest tentacles of untruth that poison your mind.

How about let's focus on making the world sustainable and livable for 10 billion humans or even 50 billion one day.

If you reduce the population 99% you lose more than 99% of your creative power as a society.  When one generation produces only 40% of their number you can expect a massive disruption.  Either a rise in xenophobia or a scramble to hold up the legs on a collapsing system.

I expect small, insignificant things from Europe in the next 30 years unless there is full out war.

Edit...I should point out that if there is an integration and assimilation of immigrants then things will be better.

The problem with the increased quality of life with a smaller population argument...is without a rapid die off of a big portion of the population... You will never see better quality of life...but worsening quality of life as you must support a big elderly population with dwindling labor forces.

Eventually things will get better..but not until after a very long, drawn out, unprecedented economic depression that will ruin our psyches.

Thanks for posting directly into the deluge. Bolded thing is the most bizarre, but a lot of the rest is out there in cuckoo land too.

After the intolerant natives were wiped out or conquered, and one dominant religion was established, and languages were limited to 3 or 4 (more or less), the Americas became the most racially tolerant place on earth.

Conflicting. But anyway....

Democrats, shut the hell up and stop your racist belly-aching about racist America. You wouldn't know racism if Mugabe delivered the keynote speech at your graduation.

Britain is, for all intents and purposes, not part of Europe.

Classic French POV, but still pretty absurd.
