Sporting a tiara in a photo posted Wednesday, President Barack Obama seems to have broken his own rule of “you don’t put stuff on your head if you’re president.”

But that’s the power of the Girl Scouts.

White House photographer Pete Souza shared a photo on Instagram on Wednesday of the president donning a tiara with a group of Girl Scouts from the White House Science Fair earlier this year in May. In the caption, Souza wrote the girls from Tulsa “convinced” Obama to join in on the fun.

Well, there goes Obummer again. First he bows to the Japanese, then does nothing as Russia dismembers our ally, and now he surrenders to freaking Girl Scouts of America. Feckless dictator indeed. Will he apologize to them too?

A most excellent choice by the President! What does this get him- a Serene Highness, perhaps?

I'll tell you one thing: Mitt Romney would make no apologies to the Girl Scouts of America.

That's like calling George W. Bush "President Veto" for the embryonic stem cell research bill.

It's a reference to the nature of the executive orders and the use of them. Hence the reference. We're not merely counting by the numbers, we're counting what POTUS is trying to do and has stated he's doing - going around Congress to enact his agenda (see: SOTU 2014).

The name still fits.

I don't really understand - Bush had his 'signing statements' where he essentially makes it clear that the government doesn't intend to follow certain parts of the law just enacted.  Are you referring to that?

Obama is using executive orders, notably sparingly, to do things that Presidents are actually allowed to do.

The President has made it clear that if Congress doesn't send him what he wants, he'll work around Congress via executive orders. Most of his recent ones have been muscular (immigration, climate change, notably) and have been pretty strong. There is no exaggeration in calling him an executive order - friendly President in his second term.

Everyone's got a wise ass comment in every thread. I'm just going with the flow. Sarcasm and somewhat snarky remarks seems to be the general tone of this particular sub forum.  (I don't mind personally. Serious comments seem to go ignored here a lot. But that's just my observation).
