Then you're individually an idiot.

As with most things related to the actual mechanics of sex, somewhat unsavory to spend too much time thinking about, but, obviously, better to have them than not (sane). FC.

I also oppose condoms on an individual level, but for dramatically different reasons I suspect.

If anything, the world should spend more time thinking about condoms until they become nothing more than second nature.

wtf

Unless you are strictly monogamous they are the only sensible solution. Refusing to use them makes you a dick (which is somewhat ironic in this context..).

I get that they are important in certain contexts, but I find them gross and I doubt I would ever use one. I want to have intimacy with another person's body, not with a piece of rubber.

Yeah.  You know when you have your en-condomed penis inside a woman's vagina and you say, "good thing my penis is wrapped up in this condom or else this might feel intimate."

Eventually, the only reason you'll ever have to use condoms (outside of a long-term relationship) will be to prevent STDs:

FC, because even those that waited until marriage may want to get it on but not go further and that's their right.

And for the rest that do not believe in such a practice, it is a vital measure to stop the question of abortion in its tracks, which I definitely support.

I, being a virgin and perpetually alone, shouldn't have to pay for other peoples condoms, but I am not against the very concept of them like some.

Hard for me to fathom opposition to them. Basic protection and also less unwanted pregnancies.

It's not necessarily a total loss of intimacy (obviously the rest of your body is still touching theirs, you're still kissing, etc.), but it does make the genital contact part of sex a lot less enjoyable (for both parties). I agree with shua.

This might be a little too graphic a discussion.  I agree that condoms reduce sensation and they're sub-optimal, at least for monogamous vaginal sex (not that I would know that much about it).  But, I'll just say that if you're getting 90% of the sensation, it's still pretty good and not that much less intimate.

Massive HC. All contraceptives are horrible.

Sexual relations are only acceptable between a married man and woman and for the specific purpose of procreation. Condoms are never necessary in that context. All of the instances where a couple would need them are instances where they shouldn't even be engaging in sexual relations in the first place. If you are not ready to have a child or don't even want one, then you have no business engaging in sexual relations at all; because their entire purpose (or at least their only legitimate purpose) is to bring a child into the world. Condoms encourage sexual immorality.

We need a ban on contraception similar to the one the Republic of Ireland had from 1935 to 1980.

The article is somewhat unclear but it sounds like this treatment involves an injection into the penis. If so, I doubt it'll be popular.
