Lean HP for blocking UHC twice in the name of "not being liberal enough", and for his hijinx in 1980 that drove a good man out of office and put in the Reagan by splitting up the left from Carter.

His Human Rights campaigns are noble for sure, but ultimately 1980 undoes all that.

And a coattail rider off his far savvier, smarter, and nobler brothers RFK and JFK

HP for Chappaquiddick and for his decades-long advocacy of healthcare nationalization.

Doesn't your ideology call for the murder of millions of people because they were born into the "wrong" class?

No, it doesn't. Nice strawman though. Wouldn't expect anything less from an intellectual lightweight such as yourself.

There's actually a difference between "murder" and negligent homicide, unless you believe he intended to kill Mary Jo Kopechne (along with his presidential ambitions). I'd expect intellectual heavyweights to understand that.

Well, HP, but...

HP for Chappaquiddick and for his decades-long advocacy of healthcare nationalization.

Putting those in the same sentence in a context that draws an equivalency between them is [Inks]ing disgusting, but par for the course coming from you.

An embarrassment to his heroic brothers.

Being an 'embarrassment' to such a fetid specimen of a human being as John F. Kennedy is certainly a feat.

Listing two things in a sentence doesn't draw an equivalency between them.

Well, not formally, no, but informally or tacitly? In this context? Coming from the poster it's coming from? Emptyquoted by the poster by whom it's emptyquoted? I don't think we can just take it for granted that Vosem and Oldiesfreak are, in fact, aware that disagreeing with them on health care policy is not as bad as homicide.

Your problem is that there is next to zero overlap between being an intellectual heavyweight and believing Chappquiddick constitutes genuine murder.

The world doesn't run on democratic centralism genius. I can like Kennedy's accomplishments while thinking Chappaquiddick was stupid AND you all need to STFU about it because it's been FOUR DECADES and the man is DEAD.

His story is very bizarre but as a guy from a chilean left wing family he is to me nothing but a champion of democracy who was one of Pinochet's most outspoken critics.
