I don't know exactly why "libertarianism" appeals so strongly to adolescent males, there must be more to it than it being a 'rebellious' ideology, though I have some ideas.

But somehow the Libertarian Party does have grown adults in it.

Didn't Winston go all over the map with extreme ideologies? I'm pretty sure he abandoned libertarianism and became a Stalinist instead.

For what it's worth, I am not opposed to Libertas returning (especially since he's apparently some sort of Democratic party-hack gay hedonist now). I just hope that this opens the door for poor, innocent opebo to soon return as well.

Torie was gone for the weekend (he was the only mod who still defended opebo) so they pounced, accused him of "trolling" (a catchall term moderators level against posters they don't like), posted links to prostitution forums opebo had posted on some time ago on the Atlas forum to build up some outrage among the prudes, and then told Dave (who has no idea what happens on the forum anyway) that he needed to be banned.

Most of the threads from the banning have been deleted, unfortunately.

I really miss the old Libertas. Used to really enjoy reading your posts, but this new schtick is already almost too much.

Well you have my apologies, but the old Libertas never really existed, he was a work of fiction. And what was there to enjoy about the old Libertas?

In this thread I have been complimented by being called "hot", an "FF", and "some sort of Democratic party-hack gay hedonist", so the 2015 version of me seems to be more popular overall.

I know there are some people who liked the "old" Libertas who will miss him. But I'm sure there are other teenaged right-wing "libertarian" trolls who have joined the forum since to satisfy that quota.

You missed my original introduction post because a few posters took issue with one line that acknowledged the existence of human sexual behavior, and also apparently because it was "attention-seeking" to actually introduce myself by sharing a few notable things about my life (including my political background and election campaign experience) and changes that have occurred since I was last on the forum.

I can't say I'm aware of the controversy here. I fully registered in 2012 and had been an occasional lurker since 2008, but not into the interpersonal drama of forum members. Whatever the case is, I have no issue here and I think almost everyone deserves a second chance. As a fellow Democrat, welcome back.
