Open Europe is in my opinion an interesting think tank to follow if you are interested in Europe. Here is their preview of 2015: http://openeurope.org.uk/blog/europe-in-2015/

The pivot to Berlin
Germany will continue to dominate European affairs, but the country’s internal clash between its twin-commitments to sound money on the one hand and Europe on the other, could be further complicated if other countries such Spain and Greece begin to seriously push back against austerity. In addition, Berlin’s willingness to take assertive stances in foreign policy will be constantly tested by Russia, whilst Germany itself may be on the verge of a potentially quite nasty debate over immigration (primarily non-EU). Watch whether Alternative fur Deutschland will seek to tap into these sentiments.+[/b]

May? On the verge? Potentially? Whether?

All of that already happened at least four weeks ago IMO. They're describing the present and the immediate past, not a potential future.

"Pegida" started in October, AfD has now invited the leaders of the protests into the Saxon state parliament. I don't know what more "tapping into" they're expecting here, short of a orgy between AfD and Pegida leaders broadcast on live television.

The 10th thing to watch is Austria.

If the SPÖVP coalition does not get their act together by March or April and present their comprehensive tax reform package, then there could be snap federal elections. There are also 4 state elections (in Vienna, Upper Austria, Styria and Burgenland), as well as municipal elections in 5 states.

I wonder what's the meaning of "pro-euro in name and anti-euro in practice" and how can be a sane person uncritically "pro-euro", given the blatant failure of the European single currency and its defective institutional architecture.

A small detail: Calling the Danish People’s Party "immigration-nervous" is a really strange expression, sort of like saying Strom Thurmond was "Negro-nervous".

Someone who is uncritically "pro-euro" is probably a forumite supporting the Euro as the beginning of One World Government.

Yet again, someone supporting anything uncritically is a moron.

Back in 1948, Strom was actually a moderate on the Negro issue for a Southern politician.  He certainly was no Bilbo or Tillman.  His foray into national politics that year was more because as governor of South Carolina, he had almost nothing else to do once the General Assembly ended its session, so he could afford to take the time to be the official candidate for a quixotic campaign whose only purpose was to try and put the Presidential election into the House rather than actually run for President.
