A Hillary hack is a HP regardless of when he/she is a Hillary hack.

The whole "inevitable/anointed" nominee thing pisses me off to no end. I don't fault people for supporting anybody, but that, above all other things, has always made me want to hit these people in the head with a hammer.

I appreciate the 2008 ones more, because they didn't actually require hindsight to know who the better candidate was.

Gross.  As if the inflated expectations for Obama (which you deride) weren't evidence enough.  Clinton is, in all likelihood, only going to be able to accomplish about as much as Obama unless the composition of the Congress drastically changes.

The funny thing is that "Hillary is inevitable" in 2008 wasn't actually much of a thing, and was instead a retrospective media narrative because a "David vs. Goliath" story sounds more interesting than "Guy in a strong second place defeats frontrunner".

http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/the-fix/wp/2014/07/01/remember-when-nobody-gave-obama-a-chance-to-beat-clinton-never-happened/

That said, she's clearly inevitable in 2016, and people should just make peace with it.

So was Tom Dewey in 1948, Nixon in 1960...look how those turned out.

What made you switch from not supporting Hillary Clinton in 2008 to supporting her now?

Well, I suppose I've already made peace with voting for a third party and not really caring who wins.

What made you switch from not supporting Hillary Clinton in 2008 to supporting her now?

She's no longer just the wife of an ex-President trying to take the nomination undeserved based on her name running with insanely wishy-washy Moderate Hero politics. Far more qualified and actually more liberal now.

Hillary in 2008 and Obama in 2016 could've turned out better. Tongue
