Even ignoring his ban happiness, he's a pretty terrible poster who has such a record of terrible and stupid things said, such as his Nader apologism and the ridiculous whataboutery he used to argue that Gore was as bad as Bush, claiming that abolishing public education is actually a liberal position or that Hispanic is a separate category for race on the US Census.

The "ban boy" meme really needs to die. While he strongly supported banning opebo (hardly a position held by Gully alone), I don't recall him making multiple ban calls. Maybe that's because he's not like BRTD, who reacts with childish hostility to everyone not sharing his ridiculously narrow worldview.

There is just something about "The Irish Ban Boys" that makes it an attractive meme. You got River Bann, banshees etc.

I don't know what's gotten into the drinking water in Ireland lately, but it seems to make certain Irish posters in their 20s rapidly age into miserable 80-year-old curmudgeons who I pity more than anything else. Gully is in competition with Oakvale as to who can be more miserable, call for more bannings, and do more ceaseless complaining, rooted in some sort of anger and resentment at the world.

I wanted a complete reboot on relations with all posters, but Gully is one of those posters who cannot be reasoned with, and adheres to the irrational thoughts that he believes in with Tea Party fervor that cannot be broken with calm and reasoned dialogue. I believe in open dialogue and bridge-building in relations toward peaceful resolution is ideal in any potential conflict, but Gully appears to subscribe to the George W. Bush doctrine of dropping bombs rather than engaging in diplomacy. Some people on here might enjoy their schtick, but I cannot but vote HP based on the merits.

Two is not 'multiple'. Neither for that  matter is three. (As it happens, I was requested to write the Obamanation petition by others in the IRC. I wasn't really fussed about it).
