Today is the first time I'm tuning in to the NFL season.

As a long time Broncos fan I of course want them to win today, but it will be a tough game.

Green Bay should be favored too, but it's also going to be quite close.

I have to say.

HOW ABOUT THOSE PATRIOTS?

Brady to Edelman to Amendola 51yd touchdown was one of the greatest things that I've ever seen.

The Pats-Ravens game was objectively a great game. It could have turned on any one play, especially those fumbles the Pats made and were very fortunate to recover.

Overall a good deal more offense yesterday than I expected. And I'm guaranteed to call one game right. Tongue

Once again bad officiating decides a game.

Much like Calvin Johnson two years ago, with the same referee, Dez Bryant's only crime was being too good and trying too hard.

I look forward to the Packers losing to the Seahawks on a controversial call/bullsh**t rule.

Poetic justice. Grin

But seriously, they have been consistent over the years calling that to the letter of the law, and today was no different. Dez Bryant, though, still gets to walk onto the field without a helmet and argue with the refs, but that's academic at this point.

Now, if the Colts manage an upset, even though I picked Denver, that would be as sweet as Moscato. Wink

Is it me or were these playoffs so easily predictable? I mean, from now on it'll be more difficult but...

Nah. Definitely didn't predict the Colts getting an elite secondary, but I called Luck breaking out.

To be fair, I'm sure not many Broncos "fans" actually watch the NFL either.

big chaos in Denver on The Day After.  Fox, del Rio, and Gase all appear to be out; Manning more likely than not to retire.  looks like Elway sees the writing on the wall and is going to start a full-scale rebuild.  we'll learn a thing or two about Brock Osweiler in 2015

Fox is high on the list for the Bears. I listened to Elway's presser today, and there were some unspecified disagreements between Fox and Elway. Who Elway ends up hiring I think will speak volumes as to the nature of those disagreements. Elway was clear that he wants Manning back, but it didn't sound very good. They could squeeze another year out of him, but he cannot shoulder it all. Cannot. And he will try to.
