What happened to Nixon? The list says the Vice-Presidency was vacant from 1955 to 1957.

He resigned under pressure after his role in framing Eisenhower was uncovered.

Huh. Oh well, one can always hope for another Nixon comeback...

Wow, this marks the second timeline [since coming here at least] in which Kefauver wins 1956.

And somehow, I have a feeling it's gonna come down to him vs Goldwater again too.

Random question, but why does the People's Party used Lime Green? I joined this rather late, so I was unsure as to why.

They started off as a fusion of liberal Democrats and the Greenback Party.

Epilogue, or Tying Up Loose Ends
The tumult and the shouting dies,
the captains and Kings depart.
-Rudyard Kipling

"Now He Belongs to the Ages"
"Ronald E. Paul, 45th President of the United States of America and the first Libertarian to lead a major world power, passed away in his sleep during the night of August 21, 2014, the day after his 79th Birthday. He was succeeded in office by Vice President Rupert Bonham of Indiana, who took the oath of office at 6:44 AM this morning...

Following his historic election over a divided field in 2012, the late president fought tirelessly to bring about a new era of limited governance and strict adherence to the Constitution. Refusing on principle to force his agenda through Congress, instead vowing to "respect the checks and balances set in place by the Founders," Paul met with more than a little resistance in Congress but fostered an enthusiastic following amongst young voters, allowing the Libertarian Party to reach never-before-seen levels of support...
" - The Wall Street Journal

Foreign Powers in The Hearse at Monticello

People's Republic of Iran
Head of Government: Mir-Hossein Mousavi (National Front), Prime Minister of Iran

Following Eleanor Roosevelt's refusal to support British attempts to remove Mohammad Mosaddegh from power in Iran, opponents of the Shah overthrew the Pahlavi Dynasty and formed the People's Republic of Iran in 1953. Initially a socialist country allied the Soviet Union, the republic has warmed to the United States following the end of the Cold War, due partly to the pro-Palestinian stance of the Buchanan and Rodham Administrations.

Republic of Columbia
Head of Government: Juan Manuel Santos (Social Party of National Unity), President of Columbia

One-term President Theodore Roosevelt (1905-1909) never achieved his dream of wresting Panama from Columbia and building a "path between the seas" across the Panama Isthmus; as a result, Columbia remains a united country stretching from Coasta Rica to its north to Brazil and Peru at its south, thus making it the only country in the Western Hemisphere to span two continents.

State of Palestine
Head of Government: Mahmoud Abbas (Fatah), Prime Minister of Palestine

In one of the most dramatic shifts of foreign policy in recent memory, President Patrick J. Buchanan chose to back the fledgling State of Palestine over the State of Israel in the 1993 Intifada, leading to the formal establishment of Palestinian independence. Led by Prime Minister Mahmoud Abbas, the country struggles with internal conflict, while relations with its neighbor (Israel) remain shaky at best.

State of Israel
Head of Government: Benjamin Netanyahu (Likud), Prime Minister of Israel

In the aftermath Pat Buchanan's rise to power, Israel entered a period of semi-exile from the international community. While Russ Feingold did his best to repair relations during his two terms as president, Israelis remain distrustful of the United States and Europe, allowing Benjamin Netanyahu's Likud Party to maintain its grip on power.

I like how small the Cabinet is here, but has it always been that small, or did President Paul significantly shrink it?

The latter. One of Paul's most significant accomplishments was the abolition or demotion of multiple cabinet posts (Secretary of Labor, Secretary of Commerce, etc.) and a return to the Washington-era cabinet.
