Awesome day. FF day!

No, seriously, when does the Senate organizing happen? At noon promptly or after 1 PM, after Biden does the ceremonial swearing?

The House roll call is underway. No nominations for Speaker. The Senate hasn't begun swearing in, I believe.

Of the new senators, Capito (R-WV) and Cassidy (R-LA) have been just sworn in. Landrieu wasn't on hand to see her successor; neither was Rockefeller.

Republicans have now sworn in four of their gained Senators.

Thomas Cotton (R-Ark.), Steve Daines (R-Mont.), and Richard J. Durbin (D-Ill.) are of the notables being sworn in this group. Enzi (R-Wyo.) is also being sworn in now.

I recommend the people of the US just start forming local People's(or Citizen's) Councils to circumvent Congress.

Al Franken (D-Minn.) being sworn in for a second term. Joni Ernst (R-Iowa), Cory Gardner (R-Colo.), and Lindsey Graham (R-S.C) just were sworn in. Ernst looks very pretty in that red dress by the way.

Republicans now have sworn in 6 of their gains from the midterms.

Here comes the Majority Leader-designate.

Messrs. Lankford (R-Okla.), Inhofe (R-Okla.), Markey (D-Mass.) and Addison Mitchell McConnell (R-Ky.) here now. Mitch has a nice blue tie.

Speaker nominations are not open. But the Speaker is on the floor. Looking very tan.

Next group was Merkley (D-Ore.), Perdue (R-Ga.), Gary Peters (D-Mich.), and Jack Reed (D-R.I.).

Mr. Jim Risch (R-Idaho), Mr. Roberts (R-Kan.), Mr. Rounds (R-South Dakota), and Mr. Sasse (R-Nebraska) now being sworn in.

Gary Peters is the only new Democratic member of the Senate. In the House, 43 new Republicans are being sworn in and 15 new Democrats.

Mr Jeff Sessions (R-Ala.), Ms. Jeanne Shaheen (D-N.H.), Mr. Dan Sullivan (R-Ak.), and Mr. Thom Tillis (R-N.C.) now being sworn in. Three of these races were hotly fought over, with Republicans winning three out of four (Democrats winning New Hampshire).

Last two names - one a very close race - Mr. Tom Udall (D-N.M.) and Mark Warner (D-Va.), who prevailed 49-48% in November.
