Did anyone else see this movie?

I usually enjoy watching movies with a historical side and that's what drew me to it. It is based on a true story about an Olympic runner who joined the United States Army Air Forces, the predecessor of the United States Air Force, and became a prisoner of war.

Yes - awkwardly directed, badly written and unevenly acted. Even bloody Roger Deakins' cinematography looks wonky.

I can see how the rah-rah and "inspiration" element is like cat-nip to audiences and the curiosity of a mainstream film directed by Angelina Jolie ... but as a film, it was a bit of a let-down.
