This is a good idea, but who decides who is on the committee?

It depends on how many wish to nominate.

I associate with Senator Lief's opinion; I too believe this is a good idea.
Would information on these points come in your imagination from the GM, or through research using real-life data?

Personally, I would prefer it to be RL evidence-based. So no, I don't feel this is a responsibility for the GM.

For-profit prisons couldn't possibly lead to problems, that would be just "crazy"hehe, not.

Getting serious now,

Is this practical? Also, shouldn't it be "within"?

Considering it will be made up of Senators... it shouldn't be that difficult.

Are you selecting them by drawing names from a hat? Otherwise, it seems rather impractical. Standard declaration time for interest for any selection of Senators is 48 hours? Then if there is need for a vote... Of course the vote could potentially be over quickly, but usually it carries a maximum that extends for more then a day.

Plus several Senators are going on leave over the next two weeks, myself included (If I could avoid it, I would but as this fall proved, my head did not come equiped with built in wifi). Tongue

Well, obviously that wasn't an issue when I wrote the Bill. I think it should be down to personal nomination. If there's more than 3 nominate... then there could be a ballot.

How about we say by the end of the month?

A week could probably do or maybe ten days. That is far more practical.

I was going to say two weeks should be the maximum range we consider, then I realized that the end of the month isn't much more then two weeks from now. Wink
