Since CA has a top two primary, I decided to replicate that format here. This won't be one of those weekly polls that I usually do, rather it will be a thread lasting about two weeks where we can debate the various strengths and weaknesses of each candidate. Also, you can change your vote in this poll throughout the two week period. After the two week mock primary, I'll include the top two finishers in a new general election mock poll.

If he could be made 30 years younger - surely Brown. As it is - moderate (like Ruiz, Sanchez or even Faulkoner). Not very likely to happen though in this polarized state...

Yes, yes we get it. You're a raging, irrational moderate hero.

Dems need more minorities in the Senate. Only Hiron, Booker, & Menendez is pathetic, I'm hoping we get Duckworth, Harris and hopefully Edwards if Milkulski retires.

I wouldn't consider Menendez or Rubio (or any other white Hispanic) a minority.

Harris is the strongest Dem. Falcouner is a strong GOP challenger and can appeal to moderates (he's liberal on gay rights, abortion, etc.), however I think he would be better as a Gubernatorial candidate in 2018.

Write-In: Mark Takano.

As he's not gonna run though, you can put me on the Harris bandwagon.

WI: Tom Torlakson.

But Harris is probably the best the Dems can reasonably do here.

Probably Harris, though admittedly I don't know much about the candidates. Garcetti's stances on public transit do interest me though.

I didn't even realize there were Republicans in the poll at first glance, which should indicate what I think about our chances of winning a California Senate seat in a Presidential year.

From the democrats, I like what Garcetti has to say a lot.
