So would you agree that Boko Haram and ISIS are worse than al-Qaeda?

At least al-Qaeda is relatively tactical in comparison.

It's not a competition. Afterall, the Croatian Ustase were perceived as worse than the Waffen SS.

Is "Boko Haram" even a coherent organization? My understanding is that Northern Nigeria is just full of local groups that call themselves that.

Can't say for Boko Haram, but ISIS is definitely worse even though it was born by Al-Qaeda.
ISIS are not only more successful in establishing their state, they are more cruel, to the extreme.
Just think about all that beheaded children, enslaved women, crucified Christians.
