So I recently realized that I've been a part of this game for almost three years. It seems like just yesterday, I joined with nothing but a bit of naivete and a few dreams. I think it's really amazing...all that I have experienced in the game over the years (and really, the same could be said about just the first year alone).

For some months, I've been thinking about how easily things fade out of memory...the interesting back stories and behind-the-scenes happenings that never get told. As such, I've decided to document these events before I completely forget about all of them, and to make sure that people understand my own viewpoint and experience, as well as the "hidden side" to many stories, feuds and other events that they otherwise do or would not know. Yes, I have a huge ego to think that I was important enough at some point for anyone to care about this little project, and said ego couldn't live with itself if I didn't attempt to jot it all down for the world to read.

Over the coming weeks and months, I will do my best to recall - via my own memory, PMs, chat logs, etc - the story of Griffin. From the humble beginnings in the IDS and the initiation of OpCot, to my rise as Chair, the historic Lib-Lab feud and beyond, I will tell a story from a perspective that few in this game ever have had the privilege of experiencing. Ultimately, some people will gasp at what happened behind the scenes and others will be upset that their deeds were made known. Some will laugh and others will cry. We all, however, have enjoyed and will enjoy the tale of this ride.

Consider this my autobiography in progress. It will be awesome.

You know, I often thought about writing a memoirs of sorts, because like you, I have been through my share of things in this game, including the glorious Lib/Lab feud where I played the role of the great Satan for a few months when The Party was just kicking ass.

But I fear that most won't understand the world pre-dissolution, so maybe I can limit mine to 2012 onward. Either way, I hope I make an appearance in your memoirs!
