This has way too many loopholes to where it can be abused. Why do we need commercial drone usage anyway? So Amazon can use them to ship things to us?

Those concerns aside, why do we need commercial drone usage? Does a private citizen really need to use a drone? How can they be used for non-intrusive means aside from a corporation like amazon using them? Any other use to me seems like it would be for not so good reasons.

Maybe we can make it available for businesses for that purpose, but allowing anyone to use a drone seems like a bad idea. Jealous boyfriend? Use a drone to spy on your girlfriend! Think your daughter is doing drugs? Drones are good for that too.

Yes they can be used for commercial means. If this is what this bill is for, let's clarify our intent.

Looks much better to me. I want to see smart regulations in place before these are sold to the public.

I agree with X. We need a penalty for abusing drones that will deter people from using them in an inappropriate manner.

I can see why we might need them, but they aren't necessary. I guess it just depends if we think the reward outweighs the risk. I am still undecided really. Amazon delivering things via drones is cool, but I would be leery about using them for spying or to gather information for marketing.
