In a new interview, Santorum threw some bombs of his own against several of his presumed 2016 opponents:

Backing cap-and-trade makes you "for climate change"?  I think he could have worded that one better.

Santorum is right about Cruz. Rand Paul like I said on another thread he has good views on civil liberties(criminal justice reform) and foreign policy but his economic policy he wants to go back to "Reaganomics" which will not work anymore.

I don't think Santorum's comment was about their views though.

Great, Santorum is filling the role that Gingrich did last time of making the Dems' arguments in the general for us in his primary.

Ah. By that standard, no American presidential candidates over the past few decades have had any accomplishments.

Santorum is actually correct. The GOP candidate with the accomplishments is Gov Walker.

I'm guessing when he compared himself to Cruz and Paul, he's talking about stuff he did in his two terms as Senator. I wouldn't expect him to get anything in his two terms in the House when Democrats had the majority.

His attempt to pass the Workplace Religious Freedom Act failed. I guess he can take credit for a provision in the No Child Left Behind Act to make it easier to teach Creationism in schools.

He was Chairman of the Senate Republican Conference in his second term, so he was in the leadership when Democrats had their comeback. I guess he gets credit for the 2006 ass-whupping which gave Republicans the worst showing for Senate elections of any party in the last forty years (You have to go back to 1974 for an election in which either party failed to get 42 percent of the vote.)

I actually agree with Rick Santorum. Ted Cruz is a bomb thrower with no accomplishments.

And Mike Huckabee, besides his social views, is actually a good Republican.

Hmm perhaps the Rickster will have the 2016 role of being the speaker of uncomfortable truths. Or perhaps a key link in the circular firing squad.

Not that Santorum has any room to talk about "bomb throwing", but he's 100% right on Ted Cruz and half right on Paul.
