20RP12 was just something I had written down in 2010 instead of "RP2012" or Ron Paul 2012. The good old days.

R2D2 is just a nickname I was given, either by Gramps or opebo.

My username is self explanatory: I'm a Mormon, whose a Democrat

My current name comes out to LDS Knight, and I'm based in the middle of Appalachia rather than the Bay Area like I was. Also the school mascot is a knight so...

It would be one of my favorite songs even if it didn't have my preferred method of transportation in its title- though the confluence of those two factors certainly helps its case as my internet handle of choice.

When I chose my original username on AH.com, it was 'The New Freedom', because I was a fan of Woodrow Wilson. Eventually everyone on that site shortened it to just 'TNF', which I had it changed to and which I use here. I can't tell you how much I detest this username, at this point, which is why I refuse to use it elsewhere on the Internet.

My username obviously comes from the fact that I'm a socially conservative Democrat who's a fan of LBJ. Wink

On a govsim I once played a character named David  Krol, from Georgia. It kind of stuck and became my forum identity.

"Libertas" is a Latin word, but I'm not going to tell you what it translates to. Tongue

My current display name "Vapaus" is a Finnish word with the same meaning. It was also the name of a Finnish-language communist newspaper published in Canada.

I love old music from the 50s-80s, and just though "Oldiesfreak" had a nice ring to it and was a unique way of describing it.  As for 1854, that obviously refers to the year the Republican Party was formed.

24 = 2/4 = February 4th, her birthday maybe? Or the 24th of something?

politicus is derived from Plato's homo politicus (which is why I used the male form)

http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/homo_politicus

I just went for a neutral name, that I would not regret choosing later on.

Tom Daschle 2004.  I just made it an abbreviation in case I become less of a Daschle fan over time, then I could pretend it stands for something else.
