I agree the Red Terror was the correct response but, like any terror, it went to far.

I'm going to assume western Ukraine is more fiscally conservative, and eastern Ukraine is more socially conservative?

The two most stereotypically Atlas posts I've ever seen in my life.

Post 1, for what SWE said.

As for the second post, he's probably right.

The second post was the clear winner of 2014 but the first has dethroned it and will probably win 2015.

It took me a moment to realise it was a typo - my initial thought was that he was parodying "predict the 3112 election - discuss with maps"

Post 1 was a joke parodying Atlas style, so I am not sure that should count.

Post 1 is literally something Snowstalker would say in the awkward phase between revolutionary marxism and adult liberalism.

Here's another very good "so Atlas" post.

Do you really think that Jesus would have been a capitalist?

Post 1, for what SWE said.

As for the second post, he's probably right.

The thing about the second post is that it completely misses the point by trying to apply an idea to a context where it is not useful to do so. It's such an Atlas thing to do.

The Turkisblau post that IceSpear quoted does the same thing. Modern economic theory has no place in trying to understand politics in the Bible. For anyone living back then, economics today of any stripe would be as close to Blue-and-Orange Morality as you can get while still dealing with real humans.

It is very stereotypical and I really do sound like a True Leftist there, huh. The person I was responding to was talking about understanding "basic scripture" and in support of market economics in the same sentence which is just ridiculous.
