I realize the election is two months old, but I thought that I had to share this. Much of the rhetoric he uses is used on this forum. On the other hand, its so obvious that's he's mad at the election and just trying to stick it to the GOP in any way possible.

Anyway, he's a complete asshat and his rants here are not only delusional but show his qualities as a pundit.

Way too much nonsense in that to talk about all of it, but...did anyone else notice he had West Virginia as a swing state but Indiana as a solid R state?

I was about to say "this sounds a lot of like that dumb article from the goplifer post I've spent too many words refuting", then I finished the whole video and realised that O'Donnell lifted his "analysis" straight from the actual article. Obviously, if a Republican writes it, it must be right? Just like how "former Clinton adviser" Dick Morris must be a clear-eyed realist.

I was going to say it was because the map was based on states Clinton won, although it doesn't include some of the other "Clinton-but-not-Obama" states, so I suppose WV is either a mistake or some kind of convoluted special reasoning. Well, I'd expect that from someone who thought Warner nearly losing VA was Good News For Virginia Democrats!

A lot of his analysis was bs. There is at least a 45% chance of the Republicans keeping the Senate. But there is definitely a blue (or red if you're here) wall of support the Democrats have thanks to a combination of demographic changes and the Coalition of the Ascendent.

Generic Democrat: 253
Generic Republican: 191

A democrat who runs an average campaign should expect to win about 253 electoral votes, give or take Nevada (though I think it's moving the way of New Mexico).

I laughed at the part about Mark Warner. "The Democrats held Virginia without even campaigning!" They held Virginia by like a thousand votes.

It's a blue wall until it isn't. Politics isn't that predictable. While I do believe that the GOP is at a disadvantage due to demographics and a lack of reputable candidates (at least at the present time), that obviously can change.

He has a bits of truth in there, but obviously very rosy for Democrats.

Given how important base voters have become, I think he' extrapolating too much from referendum results. Also, WV should be red on his map instead of grey.

Looking more closely, it's taken word-for-word from it.

I do wonder if the author is actually more of a Democrat in ideology (if not necessarily registration) or is writing stuff he doesn't fully believe, knowing that "Republican speaks the hard truths about Republicans" sells well to a Democratic audience. Kinda like how Zell Miller got a lot more attention than he would have had he switched parties or been less conservative.

Yes. He was also a producer of one sort or another (consulting producer, co-producer, executive producer) from 2000 to the end of the series, and has a "story by"/writer credit for 16 episodes.
