Yeah, it was. Originally I found him off-putting and I kind of still do but overall I really don't think he's that bad a guy and in some ways he's actually pretty interesting.

Absolutely. The prudes are just jealous that their lives aren't as interesting.

Prudishness is to memphis what sluggishly-progressing schizophrenia was to the Soviet mental health establishment: It's something that he ascribes to anyone who disagrees with him, and has next to no meaning outside of that. If I started calling anyone who disagrees with me a slut I'd be (rightly) criticized, infracted, and, probably, eventually, banned, but somehow he gets away with this.

The longer this argument goes on the more inclined I am to take Libertas's side. At this point it's difficult for me not to think he's being held to a different standard than somebody straighter or more conventionally masculine would be.
